Medical Students

We offer educational programs to help third- and fourth-year medical students develop an understanding of the process of growth and child development, learn to treat the common diseases of childhood and experience diverse work environments at multiple clinical sites in the Chicagoland area. With excellent teaching from faculty and residents, students consistently rate it among the top educational experiences of their clinical years.

Third Year

Junior Pediatric Clerkships at Lurie Children’s are available only to Feinberg students. They feature a mix of experiences in inpatient settings and in ambulatory pediatrics.

Pediatric Interest Group

The Pediatrics Interest Group (PIG) is a student-led organization that aims to increase student awareness and appreciation for the field of pediatrics through sponsored events, volunteer opportunities and early student exposure to mentoring. Past events have included a bone marrow drive, lunch talks with pediatric speakers, an annual student-faculty dinner event, student tours of Lurie Children’s and multiple shadowing opportunities. Group advisers are Margot Paisley, MD, and Nina Alfieri, MD.

MD Teaching Opportunities

Passionate teachers are critical to the success of Feinberg medical students. The Augusta Webster Office of Medical Education is looking for Feinberg faculty to inspire future leaders by teaching in our MD Program. We offer teaching formats and schedules that can accommodate your needs.
