Fellowship applicants must:
- have successfully completed three years of training in general pediatrics in a program accredited by the Residency Review Committee
- be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.
- Accepted fellows must have passed Step 3 of USMLE prior to the start of fellowship training.
The Pediatric Hematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplant Fellowship Program participates in and abides by the rules of the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The fellowship program also participates in the application process administered by the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). All applicants must register with BOTH of these organizations. Pediatric Hematology-Oncology participates in the Pediatric Specialties Spring Match (Match Day typically occurs in May one year prior to fellowship start date).Applications for fellowship training beginning in July 2018 should be submitted to ERAS in December 2016. Upon receipt of the completed ERAS documents, including a minimum of three letters of recommendation, we will review applications, and select candidates offered interviews will be contacted by email or phone to schedule an interview by December 31, 2016. Interviews will be held between January 2017 and April 2017.
