Sean E DeLacey

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Endocrinology)

I am a pediatric endocrinologist with a research and clinical interest in improving care for those with Type 2 Diabetes and those in adolescence and early adulthood. 

Linda C Laux

Associate Professor, Pediatrics (Neurology and Epilepsy)

My clinical and research focus is epilepsy syndromes, genetics of epilepsy syndromes, and Dravet syndrome.

Justyna Grothaus

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Neonatology)

My academic interests are primarily focused on improving neonatal care and neonatal patient safety through quality improvement efforts.  I participate in both Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative (ILPQC) and Children's Hospital Neonatal Consortium initiatives.

Jennifer Kusma Saper

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Advanced General Pediatrics and Primary Care)

I am a primary care pediatrician within the Division of Advanced General Pediatrics, and have a particular academic interest in health care policy and understanding how children access health care. I am passionate about improving access to primary care for disadvantaged youth, and having safety net policies in place so that all children have access to high quality care.

Jennifer Schneiderman

Professor, Pediatrics (Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation)

My primary research interest is the induction of transplant tolerance; as it applies to the prevention and treatment of a/cGVHD in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and prevention and treatment of rejection in solid organ transplantation. As director of the Therapeutic Apheresis Program, I am very active in the field of apheresis, and am committed to providing state of the art apheresis procedures in all children. 

Amanda Marma Perak

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Cardiology), Preventive Medicine (Epidemiology)

Dr. Perak is committed to preventing cardiovascular diseases (e.g., heart attack) by promoting optimal health from the beginning of life. Her research centers on defining and intervening at the origins of cardiometabolic function. Specific areas of focus include  maternal-fetal cardiometabolic health and behavioral intervention to improve cardiovascular health in high-risk adolescents. Her clinical and teaching interests are in preventive cardiology.

Paul Tannous

Associate Professor, Pediatrics (Cardiology)

Dr. Tannous was born and raised in Iowa City, IA, and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He then joined the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he completed medical school and earned his PhD studying mechanisms of myocardial remodeling. Dr. Tannous remained in Dallas for pediatric residency, and then relocated to Boston Children’s Hospital for general cardiology fellowship, followed by a senior year in interventional cardiology. Josephine B Snider

Instructor, Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

Dr. Snider is a Pediatric Hospitalist at Lurie Children’s Hospital and an Instructor of Pediatrics at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. Her professional focus encompasses a diverse range of clinical and non-clinical areas, including leadership, quality improvement science, and advocacy. She serves as the Site Leader for Lurie’s Immediate Care Center in Lincoln Park and as the CLABSI Physician Lead for the institutio. She is a member of the Community and Growth Committee on President’s Council for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. 

Nichell Tidwell

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine)

I have more than 30 years experience as a Pediatrician and over the years have worked in both Suburban and Urban Hospital based setting. I also completed a 2 year Pediatric Emergency Room fellowship training. I am currently a clinical Instructor for several Clinical Education Courses for the medical students at Northwestern School of Medicine.  I have been involved with medical students over the past 10 years at Northwestern including co-advisor for the Pediatric interest group. I am the DEI co leader for the emergency room and help cooridinate topics and subjects of interest that pertain to o...

Kendra M Ward

Associate Professor, Pediatrics (Cardiology)

As a pediatric electrophysiologist, I care for pediatric and adult congenital patients with all types of arrhythmias. In addition, I am passionate about exercise medicine, exercise testing and cardiac rehabilitation. I created and direct the inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehabilitation programs and the exercise medicine programs for the Lurie Children's Heart Center. I am interested in determining appropriate exercise parameters for children with heart disease, cardiac changes from intense sports training, exercise prescription and in cardiac rehabilitation in children with heart disease.
