Danijela Dokic, MD
Research Technologist II
Danijela Dokic received her MD at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Shortly thereafter, she moved to the USA and started her research career in Robert Dettman’s lab where she worked on epithelial-mesenchemal transformation (EMT) in embryonic development. In 2006, Danijela joined Paul Schumacker’s lab as a research technician and lab manager. She is working on several projects involving oxygen sensing, including the signaling of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the role of HIF in cancer. Danijela also manages supplies and equipment and is responsible for training various techniques to other lab members.
