Alyssa A Kriegermeier

Instructor of Pediatrics (Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition)

As a pediatric hepatologists I care for children with transient and chronic liver diseases, as well as those that require liver transplantation. I am very grateful for the opportunities to care for our amazing patients. I enjoy building relationships with patients and families, and working collaboratively to keep children as healthy as they can be so they can thrive in all areas of life. 

Nina L Gotteiner

Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology)

My primary clincal and research interest is in the field of fetal cardiology. I am interested in advancing screening fetal echocardiograms in addition to continuing my research in fetal arrhythmias and congenital heart disease.

Alanna Higgins Joyce

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine) and Medical Education

I am a hospital-based pediatrician and the Pediatric Clerkship Director for the Feinberg School Of Medicine 3rd-year medical students. Interests include medical education and curriculum, mentoring and advising, inpatient general pediatrics and newborn medicine.

Denise M Goodman

Professor of Pediatrics (Critical Care)

Dr. Goodman obtained her undergraduate degree from Niagara University (BS Physics and BA Chemistry) and her Medical Degree from State University of New York at Buffalo. She completed her pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, and pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was a faculty member at the University of Minnesota before coming to Northwestern University Feinberg SOM. She has continued to pursue additional training. As a clinical educator, my goals are to combine my clinical interests in general pediatric cardiology as well as more specialized clinical expertise in echocardiography and exercise medicine, with my interests in fellow education.

Lawrence A Gray

Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics)

My interest in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics covers a broad range of topics--all which are related to the optimal developmental and behavioral functioning of the child and the family. I have spent the majority of my professional time focusing on the care of the fussy baby and developing new models of clinical care and support for the family.My expertise, leadership, training in developmental and behavioral pediatrics has many facets and include mentoring from Dr. T Berry Brazelton, Dr. Steven Porges, and Mr. Fred Rogers.

Donald Zimmerman

Professor of Pediatrics (Endocrinology)

I have had the opportunity to study problems in a number of areas of endocrinology and metabolism. Recent efforts have included studies of the evolution of the metabolic syndrome led by Dr. Xiaobin Wang. I have been continuing work on thyroid disease including thyroid cancers with recent work focusing on detection of thyroid cancer metastases. I have participated in studies of micro-RNA's in craniopharyngioma and in studies within Diabetes Trialnet.A number of pediatric centers are planning to collate data on treatment of thyroid cancers. Janine Y Khan

Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Neonatology)

My primary research interest involves neonatal neuroprotection. Neuroprotection with the application of therapeutic hypothermia in term and near-term infants with perinatal brain injury/neonatal encephalopathy, and neonatal stroke. I am the Site PI for Preterm Epo Neuroprotection Trial (PENUT Trial). A Multi-Center, Randomized Placebo-Controlled Phase III 940-subject Trial of Erythropoietin for the Neuroprotection of Extremely Low Gestational Age Neonates (ELGANs); 2013 - 2018.

Michelle L Macy

Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine)

I am a pediatric emergency physician and health services researcher with interests in improving care delivery at the intersection of the emergency department, office, and hospital and optimizing healthcare decisions made by parents and providers. Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology) and Radiology

Dr Robinson's overall goal as a pediatric cardiologist is to expand the use of non-invasive cardiac imaging in patients with congenital and pediatric acquired heart disease in order to gain insights into mechanisms of disease progression, reduce the need for costly invasive procedures and to improve patient outcomes.
