Jin-Shei Lai

Professor of Medical Social Sciences and Pediatrics

Jin-Shei Lai, Ph.D., OTR/L., is a registered occupational therapist and a trained psychometrician. She has been a member of the Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), Proton Collaborative Group and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC). Dr. Lai has significant research experiences in outcome measurement, quality of life, symptom management and late effect due to the illness and/or its treatment in chronic illness for both pediatric and adult populations. Annette M Wagner

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Dermatology) and Dermatology

I am an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Dermatology at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and an Attending Pediatric Dermatologist, Dermatologic Surgeon and Laser specialist at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. I received my medical degree from McGill University in 1988, and completed internship (1989) and residencies in Pediatrics (1991) and Dermatology (1994) at the University of Arizona. David O Walterhouse

Professor of Pediatrics (Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation)

My primary clinical research interest lies in the area of clinical trials for pediatric patients with soft tissue sarcomas. I am a member of the soft tissue sarcoma committee of the Children's Oncology Group.  I have served as study chair for a group-wide phase III COG clinical trial for rhabdomyosarcoma. I also serve as Institutional Principal Investigator for COG. My primary basic research interest lies in understanding the regulation and function of the GLI1 oncogene, as well as understanding the role of Hedgehog-GLI1 signal transduction in pediatric solid tumors.

Olatundun O Williams

Instructor of Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

My specific clinical interests include myeloid malignancies, bone marrow failure disorders and immune-mediated cytopenias. My research interests are chronic myeloid leukemia and hematopoiesis with a focus on understanding regulation of myelopoiesis. I also have an interest in building basic science research capacity in low and middle-income countries.

Donald M Lloyd-Jones

Professor of Preventive Medicine (Epidemiology), Medicine (Cardiology) and Pediatrics

Dr. Lloyd-Jones attended Swarthmore College for his BA (Major in History), Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons for his MD, and Harvard School of Public Health for his Master of Science (Epidemiology). He was a resident, chief resident and cardiology fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, and junior faculty at Harvard Medical School. In 2004, he moved to Northwestern and in 2009, he became Chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine. Reema L Habiby

Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Endocrinology)

I am a pediatric endocrinologist primarily engaged in clinic care and medical education. My clinical interests include the care of children with growth disorders including Turner syndrome, disorders of puberty, adrenal disorders and the care of children with long-term endocrine sequelae of cancer treatment and brain tumors. I am the co-director of the Turner Syndrome Multidisciplinary Clinic. I am the Interim Division Head, director of the Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Program and I serve as a college mentor for the Feinberg School of Medicine Class of 2022.

David G Ritacco

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Neurology and Epilepsy)

I am a child neurologist with particular interest in neurology of the newborn. After medical research in physiology as an undergraduate, I pursued research in the psychophysics of vision as a medical student, and was awarded a PhD in neurobiology. I am currently pursuing clinical research, primarily regarding neurological issues in the newborn, including stroke, hypoxic ischemic injury, and use of therapeutic hypothermia.

Amanda L Hauck

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology)

My primary interests are in pediatric cardiology and pulmonary hypertension with additional emphasis on pediatric echocardiography. I have specialized interest in evaluating heart function in children with congenital or acquired heart disease using advanced techniques including strain imaging. My research goals lie in assessment of pulmonary hypertension and establishing the best non-invasive measures of heart function in children.

Lisa Simons

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Adolescent Medicine)

I am a clinician-educator in the Division of Adolescent and Young Medicine with specific interests and expertise in mental health care for adolescents, LGBT health, gender-affirming health care and HIV prevention and treatment.  I work with young people in our Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine Clinic as well as in the Gender Development Program.
