Arika G Gupta

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Neonatology)

I completed by fellowship in Neonatology at Northwestern and have been an attending at both Lurie Children's and Prentice Women's Hospital since graduating in 2015. I have a passion for simulation-based education and training and am part of the faculty in the kidSTAR Medical Education Program at Lurie Children's.

Brandi M Kenner-Bell

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Dermatology) and Dermatology

Brandi Kenner-Bell completed her MD at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where she continued on to complete her pediatrics residency at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Kenner-Bell then moved on to a second residency in dermatology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL as well as her pediatric dermatology fellowship at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Irwin Benuck

Professor of Pediatrics (Community Based Primary Care), Pediatrics (Cardiology) and Pediatrics (Primary Care-Outreach)

Identify children at risk CAD. Utlize the new NHLBI guidelines (member expert panel) to reduce cardiovascuar disease in children and adolescents.Provide tools, support, and provide recognition for pediatric office based education and to mentor community pediatricians to provide more teaching to medical students, residents, and other trainees.

Malika D Shah

Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Neonatology)

Malika Shah is the Medical Director of the Newborn Nursery at Prentice Women’s Hospital, Northwestern Medicine and an Attending Neonatologist in the NICU's at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and Prentice Women's Hospital. She also sees NICU graduates in the Lurie Cardiac and Neurodevelopmental Follow-Up Clinic.

Erin O Harvey

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

Dr. Harvey designed, opened and now serves as Medical Director for Lurie Children's Immediate Care Services (formerly Convenient Care). With extended hours and walk-in service, Immediate Care offers same-day medical services for the unexpected illnesses.  Her clinical interests include inpatient care of general pediatric patients and providing sedation for medical imaging. She is dedicated to medical education as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Roger A de Freitas

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology)

I completed complete training in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology as well as adult internal medicine and adult cardiology. This affords me both a unique perspective on the long-term management of patients born with congenital heart disease, but allows me to fully integrate into the care of patients across the full age spectrum. Amy L Walz

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation)

I received my medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2005, prior to completing my Pediatrics residency at the University of Texas Southwestern/Children's Medical Center Dallas. I completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology in 2015 and a fellowship in Developmental Therapeutics in 2016 at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University/Ann & Robert H. Michael C Verre

Instructor of Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

As a hospital-based pediatrician, Dr. Verre cares for infants and children admitted to Prentice Women's Hospital and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. He is involved in medical student and pediatric resident education and has a special interest in immigrant and refugee health as well as infants exposed to opioids.
