Karen A Mangold

Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine) and Medical Education

I completed my fellowship at Children's Memorial Hospital and have been an attending at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital since graduating in 2011. I am involved in the kidSTAR Medical Education program, and I am the program director for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship. I also run the McGaw Medical Education Clinical Scholars program.

Bridget B Zoeller

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology)

My primary interests are in congenital heart disease and cardiac imaging with an emphasis in fetal and pediatric echocardiography. I have specialized interest in perinatal cardiology and I work closely with the Chicago Institute of Fetal Health to provide care to our fetal patients and families. I am also involved in the single ventricle and inter-stage team to help care for children with complex heart disease throughout their lives. My research goals lie in fetal echocardiography and the assessment of fetal cardiac rhythm and function assessment.

Adam B Becker

Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Preventive Medicine (Public Health Practice)

Dr. Becker has extensive training and experience in the practice of Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and has written a number of book chapters and articles on this approach to examining and addressing public health problems. He has applied this methodology to examine and address the impact of stressful community conditions on the health of women raising children, youth violence prevention, and the impact of the social and physical environment on physical activity. Jill H Samis

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Endocrinology)

I am a pediatric endocrinologist engaged in clinical care and clinical research.  My clinical interests are in the care of children with long-term endocrine sequelae of childhood cancer, thyroid disorders, growth disorders, and disorders of puberty.  I participate in the multidisciplinary STAR (Survivors Taking Action and Responsiblity) clinic and participate in the Fertility & Hormone Preservation & Restoration Program.

Sally Reynolds

Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine)

I graduated from Loyola Medical School and did pediatric residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Children's Memorial Hospital / Northwestern University. I served as the medical director of the emergency department at Children's Memorial and Lurie Children's hospital. I'm currently the medical director of risk management. I'm very involved in disaster planning for children and hospital preparedness.

As medical director for the Institute for Sports Medicine (ISM) at Lurie Children’s since 2004, I have extensive experience caring for children and adolescents with sports-related injuries. I have served as team physician for high school, college, elite, and professional teams. I am currently the team physician for DeLaSalle high school, Moody Bible Institute, North Side Youth Football League, and the USA Rhythmic Gymnastics team. Genetics fascinates me because there is no foreseeable end to the expansion of technology and understanding the human genome.  Medical Genetics and Genomics encompass everything I love about medicine: direct patient care, complex diagnostic skills, research, and advocacy.  My passion for complex medical patient inspired my residency research focus.  With my advisor, I helped develop a research project to create a medical-home model for our continuity clinic patients with chronic health conditions.  The patients of this clinic are primarily composed of low-income families facing multiple life-c...

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

Dr. Lever is an academic pediatric hospitalist. She is a member of the Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators (FAME), an honor society recognizing outstanding teaching. She has also completed the Advancing Pediatric Educator Excellence (APEX) program, a national faculty development course for pediatric hospitalist educators.
